The Advisers Who Carry Your Fiduciary Mandate
A small, senior team with direct accountability — no junior handoffs, no rotating relationship managers.
Small by Design, Senior by Conviction
House & Co maintains a deliberately small advisory team. We have never sought to maximise client volume because we believe that fiduciary responsibility cannot be scaled without compromise. Each member of our Banská Bystrica team holds a primary advisory relationship with a defined group of clients and is personally accountable for every recommendation made within that relationship. Our team's backgrounds span fifteen years of central European private banking, EU regulatory affairs, actuarial science, and estate planning law. When you meet with House & Co, you meet the person who designed your strategy, monitors it quarterly, and will sit across from you at every annual review.
Tomáš Novák — Lead Fiduciary Adviser
Tomáš founded House & Co in 2009 after twelve years in private banking at two central European institutions. His speciality is multi-generational capital architecture and insurance wrapper design under Slovak and Austrian law. He leads all new client mandates and chairs the annual review committee.
Katarína Blahová — Risk & Structures Analyst
Katarína joined in 2014 with a background in actuarial science and EU regulatory compliance. She is responsible for stress-testing every proposed structure, maintaining counterparty credit watch, and producing the quarterly monitoring reports that accompany each client's fiduciary charter.
Ján Kopecký — Estate Planning Counsel
Ján advises on succession frameworks, cross-border inheritance structures, and the interaction between Slovak civil law and EU succession regulation. He coordinates with clients' notaries and legal representatives to ensure that structural documents align with testamentary intent.
How We Work Together on Your Behalf
Every new mandate begins with a joint intake meeting attended by all three advisers. Tomáš leads the strategic framing, Katarína maps the risk landscape, and Ján reviews the legal and succession dimensions simultaneously. This means that by the end of your first substantive meeting, you have already benefited from three distinct professional perspectives — not a single generalist opinion. From that point, your lead adviser carries the relationship forward, but all material recommendations are reviewed by the full team before they reach you. We call this our three-lens principle, and it is the reason our structures have not required a single emergency intervention since the firm was founded.
“What distinguishes House & Co is the absence of the usual advisory theatre. Tomáš told me plainly in our first meeting what our structure could not protect against, and why. That candour — grounded in genuine fiduciary discipline rather than sales pressure — is what made us commit to a fifteen-year mandate in March 2019. Five years on, every projection has held.”
